Life's Answer

Everyday we see that passes,
And in ourselves we search
For the answers to life’s questions.

So we turn and read in the Bible
About a sinless, a blameless man,
Who was hung on the cross.
He gave His life just so His children can--

Find salvation in our Lord Jesus,
Who all in His image were made.
From the dust of the ground He came to form us.
Yes, from God’s miry clay.

He gave us the Bible for our direction,
So we could come to know Him,
As he gave of His blood on Calvary’s hill,
So we could have life free of sin.

If we are to act as a man from the Bible,
Let’s look at our brother Job.
As in the words of our Lord Jesus--
A more righteous man we’ll never know.

So as the days, they turn to years,
The answers to all of life’s questions
Are there in God’s word, if we live as he would
With praise He will give our lives blessings.

So with each blessing we receive in our lives
Always give glory to Him,
To the man who died on Calvary’s hill,
So we could live life free of sin.
The Gift of Christ

Even before Jesus’ resurrection,
In this world as a man, He knew the direction
That His life was headed.

He’d be crowned king of the Jews.
He’d shed His life’s blood
For both me and you—

So we wouldn’t have to live a life filled with sin.
We could be forgiven and our new life begins.

As a new creation, asking God in our hearts,
Leaving our old life behind us,
Now we are part of God’s family
We are brothers in Christ,

It is a free gift, for God paid the price.
The moment He gave up
His son’s life to save each one of us,
For the sins Adam made.

So we must cherish
This gift we have been given
With each breath that we breathe
As long as we’re living.

We need to be grateful
And God’s Word we should study,
For He doesn’t just love us,
He loves everybody.

So give thanks for the blessings,
And make time for prayer;
And deep in your heart
Keep God inside there.
